One cannot mention Panama without talking about the birding. Geographically it is a narrow land bridge between the Americas and provides the only overland passage for all intercontinental migratory birds. Many of the most spectacular birds have just decided the conditions perfect and stayed.
Panama is without a doubt, one of the most amazing places to bird watch in the entire world. Some of the rare bird species we seek after are the country's national bird, the Harpy Eagle, Ospreys, Toucans, Egrets, and of course the Resplendent Quetzal, just to mention a few.
